What puts Courchevel ski-lengths ahead of its rivals in the super-circus league is the range and sophistication of the whole Three Valley area, coupled with the variety of mainly intermediate skiing. Courchevel is truly the jewel in the 3V crown. Staged over the whole of a mountain-side from the Bozel valley floor up, Courchevel is not one, but four distinct villages linked by piste and road. A free bus service connects the different villages as well.

The chic and sophisticated flock to the luxury of 1850, where supremely swanky hotels vie with opulent chalets. The air is thick with affluence and fur coats here. More villagey and definitely more laid-back is the resort of 1650 below. Just a couple of miles down from the busier nightlife, the skiing is wonderfully un-crowded and the hotels are good value and easy-going. But for a genuine flavour of the resort’s farming roots, skiers adore ‘le vrai’ Courchevel, or Le Praz, at 1300 which is a picturesque mountain community with year-round residents.

This attractive stone-clad chalet is situated in the heart of Courchevel 1550. It offers many features including exposed beam ceilings, ski storage and a heated boot rack in the entrance hall. The chalet is just 200m from the lifts/slopes. There are shops with the local amenities are just 50m away.
